ASBESTOS ABATEMENT - INVITATION TO BID

The Board of Education of Midland Public Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment and all other services to complete Asbestos Abatement at Adams Elementary School for Midland Public Schools.

A pre-bid walk through is scheduled for December 3, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Adams Elementary School, 1005 Adams Drive, Midland, Michigan 48642. Meet in the Main Office. Midland Public Schools requests Bid Proposals for Bid Package 19-105 Network and Wireless. Bid Proposals will be received at 600 E. Carpenter Rd., Midland, Michigan 48640 by delivery or mail, to the attention of Bob Cooper by 11:00 a.m. local time on December 13, 2018. INVITATION TO BID GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL

Midland Public Schools will receive sealed bids for gasoline and diesel fuels. The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a twelve (12) month contract for the purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel for the Midland Public Schools Transportation Department with two yearly renewal options with mutual consent.

Copies of this solicitation and any issued Addenda may be obtained in the administration office, at 600 E. Carpenter St. Midland Michigan 48640, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by contacting the Facilities and Operations Department contact indicated, prior to the time and date specified for proposal deadline.

Security Window Film Bid
  1. The Successful Bidder shall provide:
    • Material and installation of 832 square ft. of SolarGard Armorcoat 8 mil clear safety and security window film on building secure entrance glass (10 buildings).
    • 477 square ft. of DowSil 995 structural silicone (perimeter attachment) for plexi-glass reinforcement of the classroom garage doors at Central Park Elementary.
  2. The Successful Bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and on-site supervisory oversight necessary for installation.
  3. All buildings and furnishings shall be protected by the Successful Bidder from damage which might be done or caused by work performed. Any damage caused directly or indirectly by the Successful Bidder’s agents or suppliers shall be repaired and/or replaced at the expense of the Successful Bidder by methods approved by Midland Public Schools to restore the damaged area(s) to its pre-installation conditions. Midland Public Schools shall deem such repairs acceptable only after inspection and approval.
  4. All new materials shall be asbestos free and installed in accordance with the appropriate manufacturer’s recommendations.
  5. All debris must be removed from the building daily and hauled away after project is complete.
  6. The district will have a dumpster onsite for use by the successful contractor.
  7. The work will be completed at a date no later than August 1st, 2019. Installation is to be completed during days/hours not disruptive to the educational setting.
