To report a name change, please contact the Human Resources Department after receiving your updated Driver's License, Social Security Card, and, if applicable, your teaching certificate.

If you have lost or broken your badge, please submit a Helpdesk Ticket. You will receive an email to your MPS account once your badge is ready to be picked up.

A badge replacement costs $10.00

  • One must apply using the Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS). A login name and password are required. If you have not previously accessed the system, you will need to create an account.
  • To Create Your Initial MOECS Account or Reset Your Password:
    • Click Login Assistance on the MOECS page
    • Enter your name and last 4 digits of your social security number and click Search
  • You renew your certificate by logging into MOECS, updating your personal information, verifying and/or adding your professional learning, and following the application steps.  
  1. Navigate to https://midlandps.schoolspring.com/
  2. Sign in or create an account using the Sign In/Register link in the top right corner.
    Please note that this does not use Single Sign-On, so you will need to create a new account if you haven't already.
  3. After logging in, click the "Internal Jobs" tab to view and apply to open internal positions.
Visit https://midlandps.schoolspring.com/ to apply and view open positions. Log in to apply to internal positions if you are a current Midland Public School's employee.

To be eligible for an internal position, applicants must be currently employed by Midland Public Schools.

Accident Reporting Steps

  1. Report Incident
    If you are injured at work or encounter a near-miss incident, it is crucial that you notify your supervisor immediately. Your supervisor will contact a Human Resources representative for the necessary guidance and support. 

     

  2. Seek Treatment
    Human Resources is here to advise you on whether you need to visit Occupational Health Urgent Care and will handle preauthorization if necessary.

  3. Complete Forms
    We understand that dealing with incidents and injuries can be tough. Please complete the necessary Employee, Supervisor, and/or Witness Reports and email them to hr@midlandps.org within 24 hours. Thank you for your cooperation.
