Reminder: New Student Wireless Communication Device Policy Begins August 24

August 21, 2026 - You may remember that at the end of the 2025-2026 school year, we sent a survey seeking input to help develop a cell phone use policy to comply with new State of Michigan laws. You gave great feedback, as usual! Now, as we head into the new school year, we are implementing the new Student Wireless Communication Device Policy that your feedback helped create.

Please note: This applies to cell phones, tablets, and other personal wireless electronic devices. Exceptions will be made for certain devices that support student needs.

And now, the policy...

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 & 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬

- Plans change, emergencies occur, things happen, inevitably as soon as we drop them off at school. We get it. If you need to reach your child urgently, please contact their school's main office. Our staff will make sure they get the message and/or call you back.

- Your cooperation and support are critical to this policy's success. Please discuss these expectations with your student and ensure they are prepared to follow this policy every day.

We know that this will require a shift in routine for some students. Our staff will help them adjust to these new rules in the coming weeks.
