Student Surveys

In accordance with Michigan Senate Bill No. 166, this page provides a comprehensive list of all surveys administered to MPS students, along with their corresponding results.

The bill states: A district or intermediate district shall ensure that student survey questions and results are made available to the public, posted on the district’s or intermediate district’s website, and that parents and legal guardians are notified of the survey. As used in this subsection, “survey” includes any survey from the district or intermediate district or from the local, state, or federal government.

Name of Survey: MPS Strategic Plan Student Survey 

Purpose of Survey: Collect student input via a digital, emailed survey that will be used in the MPS strategic planning process to help guide the district's future in the next 5-10 years.

Name of Survey: Mindfulness Student Post Survey (High School and Elementary)

Purpose of Survey: Collect input from students in grades 3-12 at all buildings about their understanding and use of mindfulness practices.

Name of Survey: The Legacy Center for Community Success Attitudes & Behaviors Survey
Purpose of Survey: The Legacy Center conducts this survey every five years to ensure that our community has current and relevant information on the well-being of students. Results are used to support youth programming and identify gaps and concerns to be addressed. It is administered to students in grades 6-12.
Approximate Survey Date: November 25, 2025

Name of Survey: Dow High School Freshman Yearbook Survey
Purpose of Survey: This survey collects freshman students' input for the Dow High School yearbook. It includes structured multiple-choice questions related to student preferences, school experiences, and reflections. Data will be used to inform yearbook content for the 2025-2026 publication.

Approximate Survey Date: December 10-17, 2025

Name of Survey: CTE Vocational Day Survey
Purpose of Survey: This survey is for seniors in the CTE Program at both Dow High School and Midland High School who participated in the 1st Annual Vocational Day to gather feedback to continue to improve this event for years to come.

Name of Survey: IB Applications and Interpretations Survey
Purpose of Survey: These surveys are for IB Applications and Interpretations projects to gather the 80-100 responses required for students to complete their research and reach their data goals for the year. All of these surveys are saved in PDF format with the class name at the top.

Name of Survey: Advanced Journalism The Update’s Senior Section Survey
Purpose of Survey: These surveys are for CTE students from both Midland High and Dow High School who particpated in the ESA 'Ready Set Interview' event.

Name of Survey: The Update’s Senior Section Survey 
Purpose of Survey: The DHS Advanced Journalism class is asking Seniors the following questions for content that would appear in the 2026 senior edition of The Update.

Purpose of Survey: The Legacy Center conducts this survey every five years to ensure that our community has current and relevant information on the well-being of students. Name of Survey: Midland High College Bound Michigan Data
Purpose of Survey: This survey gathers mid-year data from Midland High seniors, including whether they’ve applied to college, how many applications they submitted specifically during October, and which topics they’re most interested in for future advisory sessions.

Name of Survey: Interest Form for Esports Survey

Purpose of Survey: This survey helps us determine the best after-school practice days and times by understanding student availability and existing commitments. It also allows us to gauge interest and experience levels across our esports titles so we can plan teams, schedules, and support accordingly.

Name of Survey: Video Game Night Survey

Purpose of Survey: This survey is to gather student interest in the MHS Student Council hosted Video Game Night.

Name of Survey: CTE Vocational Day Survey

Name of Survey: 25-26 Senior Exit Survey
Purpose of Survey: Seniors who completed their diploma requirements and are now a graduate are asked to please complete this Senior Exit Survey. The feedback is valuable in helping us improve the experience for future graduating classes. The survey will ask about postgraduation plans, experiences at Midland High School, and how we can better support students moving forward.
