Update on Food Services Pricing for 2025-2026

August 7, 2025 - Due to the State of Michigan’s delay in passing a 2025-2026 state budget, the future of the Michigan School Meals program, which provides free breakfast and lunch for all students, remains uncertain at this time. Midland Public Schools will provide universal free breakfast for all students for the 2025-2026 school year. Universal free lunch will run through September 30, 2025.
As of October 1, 2025, families who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch will be charged. The pricing sheet below reflects what the pricing would be should meals not remain free for all MPS students.
Meal Type | Price |
Student Elementary Lunch | $3.70 |
Student Secondary Lunch | • $3.95 Create & Latin Station, $4.45 Grill & Pizza Station • $4.95 Packaged On the Go Meals & Sub Station |
Milk Only (no meal) | $0.70 |
Staff Meal or Staff Packaged Lunch Meals | $6.15 |
Staff Breakfast | $3.80 |
